Biography
Dr. Rabab Haider is an Assistant Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Michigan. Her research focuses on energy system operations under deep decarbonization, with a focus on optimization, machine learning, energy justice, and market design. Before moving to U-M, she was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow in the NSF Artificial Intelligence Research Institute for Advances in Optimization (AI4OPT) at Georgia Institute of Technology, and was previously a research intern at Siemens and Microsoft Research. She received her Ph.D. and S.M. degrees at MIT, and B.A.Sc in Engineering Science at the University of Toronto. Dr. Haider has been named a MIT Energy Fellow (2022) and MathWorks-MIT Mechanical Engineering Fellow (2021).
