Biography

Dr. De Roo’s research focuses on technology development for microwave remote sensing, especially digital radiometry, calibration techniques for microwave remote sensing, and microwave remote sensing signature analysis. He specializes in microwave remote sensing, particularly the physical science of how it works, as opposed to being a scientific user of remote sensing products, such as imagery. As such, he studies instrumentation, measurement techniques, cal/val, interference mitigation and remote sensing signature characterization.
