Biography

Rachel has expertise working on electronic and optical materials in both the aerospace and glass industry. She developed III-V semiconductors for the aerospace industry at Northrop Grumman. She went on to develop energy efficient optical coatings for windows, bird friendly glass coatings, and low carbon glass manufacturing for Guardian Glass's fleet of 26 large area glass furnaces.

Rachel is currently working on semitransparent organic photovoltaics and thermophotovoltaics in Professor Steve Forrest's group.
