External Partnerships
Energy researchers at University of Michigan regularly link arms with community partners to work towards energy objectives in the Southeast Michigan area. Whether that be with non-profit organizations focused on home energy efficiency upgrades, or specific research efforts with industry alignment, we are eager to improve energy connections between University of Michigan and our external community.
Although IES is a new institute, we are well equipped with facilities and capabilities for research to serve government, non-profit, and industry partnered projects. Please reach out to [email protected] to explore partnership opportunities.
IES Embraces the Ann Arbor Community
In June, 2024, IES welcomed our Summerworks intern, Khalil Pinjari, to work on an interactive energy display to be housed at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens this summer. Please stay tuned to see updates on the project, which will showcase an introduction to several energy concepts. If you are interested in visiting the exhibit this summer, please go to Matthaei Botanical Gardens sometime between August 5th and early September. Pictures will be posted of the display on this post once the project is completed. IES hopes that this display will help connect us further to the Ann Arbor community who visits the gardens.
University of Michigan Planet Blue
University of Michigan’s Planet Blue aims to facilitate partnerships with communities, industries, and government agencies. Similarly, IES works actively to build partnerships that work towards the goals of a transition to an equitable, resilient, clean, affordable, and sustainable energy future.
