This page is intended to be a collection of helpful links and tips for students in energy spaces, whether they be undergraduate or graduate, focused on careers in academia, industry, government, or non-profit. Energy Job Postings and Tips

  • Try to look at recent DOE awards for project awardees, particularly from the ARPA E projects, which include startup companies.
  • Check the Engineering Career Resource Center and register with 12Twenty to search for job postings and stay up to date on upcoming career fairs
  • Update your LinkedIn account to include recent experiences and highlight your skillset. Try taking LinkedIn courses and skill tests as well.
  • If you are preparing for an industry career as a Professional Engineer, sign up for the FE Exam within the first year after graduating so the technical content is still fresh in your mind.
  • If you are an undergraduate, preparing for a career in academia, start by looking at our energy experts page for professors who research areas you enjoy.
